WX Brands expands portfolio
Company purchases Reckless Love, Sunday Funday brands
WX Brands, Novato, Calif., announced its purchase of the Reckless Love and Sunday Funday wine brands. Reckless Love and Sunday Funday wines join WX Brands’ group of brands that include Bread & Butter, Chronic Cellars, Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, Jelly Jar and Our Daily Wines.
Founded by entrepreneurial winemaker Chip Forsythe, Reckless Love and Sunday Funday wines are known for their unconventional attitude toward winemaking and creative, approachable wines, the company says. Both wine brands were born from the notion that wine should be enjoyed by all, it adds.
“WX Brands is always on the lookout for ways to expand our portfolio of proprietary brands. With their unique positioning and strong following, Reckless Love and Sunday Funday are the ideal fit for us,” said WX Brands President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Byck, in a statement. “We are in a remarkable position to introduce these compelling wines to an even larger audience through our sales network and distribution partners.”
Forsythe, who will remain the wine brands’ ambassador, added: “Reckless Love and our other wines have grown beyond my wildest dreams, which is usually best expressed by the statement, ‘Look at me now, Mom.’ As a start-up winery, we never lacked vision, but we needed a larger platform from which to share our distinct wines. Under WX Brands’ umbrella, these wines will get the audience they deserve through their successful sales and distribution network.” BI
