Canadian Club, a brand of Beam Suntory Inc., introduced its newest offering in the United States: Canadian Club 100% Rye Whisky. Boasting intricate flavors of caramel, vanilla and oak, the premium whisky offers a spicy, yet balanced finish, the company says. The new whisky combines the smoothness of Canadian club with the distinct taste of rye, resulting in more complexity and character than standard rye whiskies, it adds. The 80-proof spirit is an amalgamation of aged whiskies from three different types of barrels — brand new, white American oak barrels; once-used bourbon barrels; and Canadian whisky barrels. Canadian Club 100% Rey Whisky is available packaged in 750-ml bottles that retail for $19.99.
