Kobrand Corp.’s port wine brand Croft announced the launch of a new varietal — Croft Reserve Tawny Port. The Reserve Tawny is aged for about seven years, which provides a depth of flavor and smooth character to the port wine. The 20 percent alcohol-by-volume red wine offers notes of caramel, raisins and cloves on the nose with cardamom, spice, butterscotch and redcurrant on the tongue, the company says. The wine offers a smooth, round finish with notes of strawberry jam, it adds. Available in 750-ml bottles for a suggested retail price of $19.99, Croft Reserve Tawny Port is available in select markets.
