Alexandria, Va.-based National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) announced the return of the Share Your Story Contest for beer distribution employees who have never attended the NBWA Annual Convention & Trade Show. The contest is intended to highlight some of the 130,000 men and women who make up the beer distribution industry, including truck drivers, inventory specialists, graphic artists, sales representatives, warehouse workers and receptionists, the association says.

“The American beer distribution industry is strong because of the amazing people who work in it and the passion they have for the work they do in communities across the country,” NBWA President and Chief Executive Officer Craig Purser said in a statement. “NBWA is looking forward to sharing their powerful stories that make all of us proud to be a part of this great system.”

To enter the contest, beer distribution employees should submit a written entry (approximately 200-250 words) explaining why they love working in the beer distribution industry. Details may include what they do, how long they have worked in the industry and how their career began. Other details may include how their company positively impacts their community and stories that depict the vibrant jobs in the beer distribution industry. Entrants also should submit one or more high-resolution, on-the-job photos showcasing their work at their company, in their market or in their community.

Entries may be submitted using the online entry form at www.nbwa.org/contest through Aug. 10. Contact NBWA Editorial Assistant Sara Nieman at snieman@nbwa.org or 703/683-4300 with any questions.

The winner will receive a complimentary trip to NBWA’s 78th Annual Convention & Trade Show, which will take place Oct. 11-14 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The winner will be recognized during the convention’s general session and will be featured on www.nbwa.org. The winner will be notified by Sept. 1.
