Woodchuck Hard Cider announced the limited release of Woodchuck Private Reserve Barrel Select. The cider was inspired by small-batch bourbon distilleries in Kentucky and was handcrafted in a small batch. The cider has a copper hue and sweet apple taste followed by notes of vanilla and bourbon, the company says. Private Reserve Barrel Select is a special edition high-end cider containing 6.9 percent alcohol by volume, compared to Woodchuck Cider’s average 4 to 5 percent alcohol by volume. Woodchuck Private Reserve Barrel Select is available in six-packs for $10.99 in New England, New Jersey and New York.
