David Michael & Co., Philadelphia, has been awarded the first Supplier’s Innovation Excellence Award from Well’s Dairy. The flavor company’s commitment to innovation, product development, trend presentations and annual Innovation Roadshow were highlighted as exceptional by the dairy company.
Novel Ingredient Services, Los Angeles, recently relocated its East Coast facility to a larger location thanks to a growing
client base and increased demand for customized materials. The new facility
in West Caldwell, N.J., has expanded space for production capacity, support
staff and salespeople. The company also recently hired two new account
managers to its sales team, Fred Mosier and Eddie Horn.
Cognis, Monheim, Germany,
has announced that its Aliquat 134 Reagent (also known as Aliquat 336) has
been certified Kosher. Aliquat 134 Reagent can be used as a phase transfer
catalyst and solvent extraction agent.
Palatinit, Morris Plains,
N.J., has achieved GRAS notification from the FDA for Palatinose. The
product is a disaccharide derived from sucrose with a smooth sweetness
profile similar to sugar. It has the same calorie content as sugar, is
tooth-friendly and has a low glycemic effect.
InterHealth Nutraceuticals Inc., Benicia, Calif., has promoted Darryl
Mircheff to vice president of international
sales. Mircheff will now be responsible for all business development and
sales initiatives outside of the United States and Canada.
