Axon Corp., Raleigh, N.C., has relocated to Walnut Creek Industrial Park, 3080 Business Park Dr., Ste. 103, Raleigh, N.C.
Bosch Rexroth Corp.,
Hoffman Estates, Ill., has announced it will invest 83 million Euros to
expand its production capacities in China, beginning with the construction
of a new factory in Beijing. Construction will also take place at the
factory in Wujin where Bosch Rexroth currently produces hydraulic cylinders
and units.
Clearwater Enviro Technologies Inc., Clearwater, Fla., has added seven new industrial models to its
UL-listed ScaleBlaster line of electronic descalers. The models handle
standard diameters of non-steel pipe from 12 inches to 40 inches, and steel
pipe from 4 inches to 26 inches.
TNT Logistics North America, Jacksonville, Fla., was recently named International Trade
Services Provider of the Year by the Cornerstone Regional Development
Partnership of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Crown Holdings Inc.,
Philadelphia, and Crown Bevcan Europe &
Middle East, in conjunction with Ahmad Hamad Algosaibi & Brothers, are expanding beverage can production capacity in the Middle
East. Two new lines are expected to be introduced in the company’s
plants in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, Crown Bevcan Europe & Middle East has started
construction of its new beverage can plant in Tunisia, and Aidan Sanderson was named
general manager of the plant.
EarthShell Corp., Santa
Barbara, Calif., and EarthShell Hidalgo S.A. de
C.V. of Mexico recently signed a licensing
agreement under which EarthShell Hidalgo will manufacture, distribute and
sell EarthShell Packaging throughout Mexico.
Alcoa, Pittsburgh, Pa.,
has opened a new plant outside of Cairo, Egypt, to support beverage
customers in North Africa. This is Alcoa’s first facility in Egypt.
LXE Inc., Norcross, Ga., recently
introduced a new logo featuring graphics and colors to more effectively
represent market position and core competencies.
Pack Expo Las Vegas 2005, sponsored by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), is schedule for Sept. 26-28 at the Las Vegas
Convention Center. This year's show will offer the Contract Packaging
Pavilion, among the many technology pavilions traditionally at the show.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of Commerce has selected Pack Expo Las
Vegas 2005 to participate in its annual International Buyer Program.
Owens-Illinois Inc.,
Toledo, Ohio, has announced the company intends to explore various options
for its machine parts supply facility in Godfrey, Ill., including a
possible joint venture arrangement or sale of the facility.
Omron Corp., Kyoto, Japan,
donated close to $1 million dollars through the Japan Community for UNICEF
for victims of the Asian tsunami. Additional pledges from local Omron
offices and affiliated companies will also be donated through the Japan
Community for UNICEF.

recently was awarded a multi-year contract from Pepsi-Cola North America to

machines in the United States.
