DSM, the Netherlands, has introduced PeptoPro, a sports drink with peptides, across Europe, with Inge de Bruijn, the Dutch Olympian, as the new 'face' of PeptoPro. The company has future plans to distribute the drink in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and Thailand.
FMC BioPolymer, a division of FMC Corp., Philadelphia, recently announced it will implement an average price increase of 7 to 8 percent for selected food-grade carrageenan products. These increases apply to pricing worldwide and will take effect on Dec. 1, 2004, or as contracts allow.

Additionally, Jennifer Jacobs has been promoted to senior account manager. She is responsible for sales in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, Mississippi and Kansas.
