Red Stripe is celebrating an extended Good Vibes Summer with an immersive, consumer-centric summer promotion. 

Since Heineken USA, White Plains, N.Y., acquired a controlling stake of Red Stripe Beer in 2015 and returned production back to the brand’s Jamaican homeland in 2016, the company has embarked on an aggressive 10-year investment plan dedicated to building Red Stripe’s position as a truly global brand. 

Red Stripe, a brand within the Five Points Trading Co., a company of White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA, announced that it is inviting legal-drinking-aged (LDA) consumers to choose Red Stripe for a shot at a spring break getaway to the brand’s island home, where they can enjoy the carefree spirit that Jamaica offers all year round. Red Stripe’s ‘Skip the Winter, Fly away for Spring Break’ national sweepstakes program kicked off at retail and on-premise this month.

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA will embark on a new era of business for its emerging global Heineken brands with the creation of Five Points Trading Co., a new venture aimed at incubating a range of popular global beers in the United States, the company says. With the development of Five Points Trading Co., Heineken USA will be bringing its emerging premium brands back in-house, while utilizing the resources and expertise of the company’s established distribution network, it says. 

White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA celebrated the official first run of Red Stripe to come off the line in Jamaica. Following the acquisition of a controlling stake of the brand in October 2015, Heineken has been working toward repatriation of the production of Red Stripe beer from North America back to the brand’s home country of Jamaica, it says.
