The Clearly Food & Beverage Co. Ltd., Richmond Hill, Ontario, producer of the Clearly Canadian line of premium flavored sparkling waters, announced that it has shipped more than 50 million bottles of its all-natural sparkling water beverages since its large-scale commercial production reintroduction in 2017.

To kick off the new year, Clearly Canadian announced the comeback of its No. 1 fan requested flavor: Summer Strawberry.

Boxed Water Is Better is teaming up with Universal Products & Experiences to offer renewable packaged water as a part NBCUniversal’s efforts to help reduce plastic waste. Launching in March 2023, the Jurassic World-inspired Boxed Water collection will be available in grocery store locations in the United States.

Essentia Water and House Wine partnered to release the Essentia Water & Wine box, a side-by-side combo of Essentia Water and House Wine. Each limited-edition Water & Wine box includes both red and white wine, with the equivalent of four standard 750-ml bottles each of House Wine Sauvignon Blanc and Original Red Blend. 

Primo Water Corp., Tampa, Fla., announced that Primo Water North America (PWNA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Primo, has acquired substantially all the assets of Crystal Spring Water Co., a bottled water company based in Rhode Island.

Although bottled water revenue has accelerated, data shows the category posted a slight decline in volume sales.

Just in time for sweater weather, Waterloo Sparkling Water announced the official launch of its new Spiced Apple flavor and the return of its seasonal fan favorite Cranberry.

Building on its longstanding commitment to environmental sustainability, FIJI Water has transitioned its iconic and best-selling 500- and 330-ml bottles to 100% recycled plastic (rPET) in the United States. The move is a substantial step in reducing plastic waste and replaces almost 65% of FIJI Water’s bottle volume in the United States with recycled material, it says. 

The Coca-Cola Co. announced that two of its biggest brands in North America are taking major steps to support a circular economy for plastic packaging. DASANI is rolling out bottles made from 100% recycled PET plastic (excluding caps and labels), and Sprite is transitioning from green to clear plastic to increase the material’s likelihood of being remade into new beverage bottles.
