Boston-based The Boston Beer Co. Inc. and Dogfish Head Brewery announced that the companies have signed a definitive merger agreement, bringing together two pioneering independent craft breweries.
The Boston Beer Co. Inc., Boston, reported fourth quarter 2018 net revenue of $225.2 million, an increase of $18.9 million or 9.2 percent from the fourth quarter of 2017, mainly due to an increase in shipments of 6.3 percent.

The Board of Directors has created a search committee and retained Korn Ferry to assist in identifying and evaluating the best candidates to succeed Roper as CEO, the company says.
