Brands craft beer-centric recipes and pairings to highlight brews’ features

The U.S. craft beer market has continued its upward trajectory trends. According to the Brewers Association (BA), American craft beer dollar sales rose 15 percent and volume grew 13 percent during the first six months of 2013.
Samuel Adams, a brand of The Boston Beer Co., Boston, announced that for the first time it plans to offer Samuel Adams Boston Lager in a can that is designed to closely match the experience of drinking beer from a glass, the company says. The “Sam Can,” which is the result of two years of ergonomic and sensory research and testing, will hit shelves in early summer 2013, just in time for outdoor drinking occasions.
The 2013 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, taking place March 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will provide industry players the opportunity to mix it up with fresh ideas and key contacts. Featuring a conference program, two-day exhibit hall and networking opportunities, the show will discuss new and hot trends in the club and bar scene.

Angry Orchard Cider Co., a subsidiary of The Boston Beer Co., launched Angry Orchard Iceman and Strawman as part of a new line of artisanal specialty ciders called the Cider House Collection.
Available from mid-August through October, The Boston Beer Co.will offer its 2011 Samuel Adams Harvest Collection Variety 12-pack, including Boston Lager, OctoberFest, Irish Red, Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Black Lager and its new style, Bonfire Rauchbier.
