Kiki Milk Protein

Kiki Milk announced the launch of Kiki Milk Protein, a new USDA Organic product line.
Powered by sacha inchi, a 3,000-year-old Amazonian seed naturally rich in complete plant protein, healthy fats and fiber, Kiki Milk Protein embraces the seed’s whole-food nutrition, keeping these naturally occurring components together as nature intended, the company says.
“The problem with most protein beverages is the quality of the protein,” said Alex Abelin co-founder of PlantBaby, the company behind Kiki Milk, in a statement. “When you create a protein isolate, the ingredient typically goes through significant processing to separate the protein from the rest of the seed. In that process, you can lose naturally occurring components like fiber, healthy fats and other nutrients that are part of the whole food. We started with sacha inchi because it’s naturally rich in high-quality protein, and our goal was to preserve the seed as close to its original form as possible — delivering protein in a way that works with the whole-food nutrition of the plant.”
Kiki Milk Protein Original is made with oats for a creamy texture that works well in cereal, protein shakes or baking, the company notes. Each serving of Kiki Milk Protein delivers 10 grams of plant protein, primarily from sacha inchi — without gums, seed oils or natural flavors, it adds.
Kiki Milk Protein is available to purchase in 32-ounce six-packs at the company’s website, and Amazon for a suggested retail price of $49.99
