Blue Run Spirits, a brand of Molson Coors Beverage Co., Chicago, announced an Indiana-exclusive, limited-edition release of its award-winning Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon Whiskey in collaboration with the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).

Timed for the excitement of the month of May and the lead-up to “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” the special release celebrates the shared spirit of craftsmanship, performance and tradition that defines both brands, it says.

The collectable bottle features Blue Run’s iconic, hand applied, Viceroy butterfly medallion, reimagined with a bold checkered flag pattern as a direct nod to the defining symbol of victory and excellence. The neck-label features the official wing-and-wheel insignia of IMS, integrating one of motorsport’s most recognizable emblems into the bottle’s design.

As always, the bottle itself is Blue Run’s signature French cut glass, and the screen print contains precious metal elements, the company says. The final touch is a commemorative tax strip over the cork closure, making the release as a true race-week trophy, it adds.

Available exclusively at select retailers throughout Indiana, the featured whiskey is Blue Run’s Kentucky Straight High Rye Bourbon, bottled at 111 proof. The expression balances a rich flavor profile peppered with rye spice and has earned numerous prestigious accolades, including Platinum and Gold honors at the ASCOT Awards, TAG Global Spirits Awards, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the company notes.

“From Georgetown, Kentucky to Georgetown Road in Indianapolis, this partnership is rooted in a mutual respect for tradition and a relentless drive to push boundaries,” said Katy McBrady, general manager at Blue Run Spirits, in a statement. “This release is our way of honoring the entire month of May through practice and qualifying weekend, to Miller Lite Carb Day alongside ‘Back Home Again In Indiana’ and each passing of the Yard of Bricks with a whiskey that stands up to each moment.”

INDYCAR and IMS President J. Douglas Boles, added: “Celebrating the Indy 500 with friends and family is one of the best traditions at IMS. This limited-edition packaging lets our fans take home a little piece of that celebration to enjoy throughout the Month of May.”
