Chemical formulator Madison Chemical has unveiled ENVIRO-CLEAN 444, a one package, general purpose foaming cleaner that works well in virtually all water conditions. The new cleaner is formulated to perform in challenging environments. It is free of phosphates, NPE surfactants, PFAS and EDTA, the company says. ENVIRO-CLEAN 444 is Prop 65 compliant, so it has minimal environmental impact. The detergent is chlorinated and moderately alkaline, producing a thick, stable, wet foam needed for cleaning vertical and overhead surfaces without dry-out or run-off. It is ideal for cleaning hard to reach areas in food, beverage and dairy processing plants, the company adds. Madison Technical Sales Representatives are available to assist in determining dilution rates and contact times as well. Prior to use, food products and packaging materials must be removed from the room or carefully protected. All surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with potable water after using ENVIRO-CLEAN 444. The cleaner is safe to use on ferrous, stainless and most copper alloys when used as directed. It is not for use on painted surfaces. ENVIRO-CLEAN 444 joins the lineup of ENVIRO-CLEAN cleaning chemicals developed to provide superior cleaning performance while meeting modern environmental standards.
