LALO Tequila High Proof Blanco Tequila

October 28, 2025

LALO Tequila introduced the next chapter in its limited-edition series: 2025 High Proof Blanco.

Available nationwide in limited quantities, this special expression arrives just in time to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the brand’s deep cultural roots while showcasing its continued evolution in the blanco tequila category, the company says. Bottled at 50% ABV with no water added after distillation, this is LALO’s first-ever tequila crafted using the “distilled to proof” method, it notes. The result is a bold, aromatic and deeply expressive tequila that brings the soul of its Jalisco roots to life, while blending legacy with artistry, it says.

“LALO’s foundation is built on a deep respect for the agave plant, which is a value passed down to me from my father and grandfather, who were both tequila makers,” said Eduardo “Lalo González, co-founder of LALO, in a statement. “Our 2025 High Proof honors that heritage and tradition while celebrating the dynamic flavor of the agave. This expression means a lot to me because it captures the tequila industry’s shift toward innovation and authenticity, values that inspire us at LALO and have allowed us to grow the brand while staying true to our roots.”

LALO’s 2025 High Proof is bold and vibrant, the company says, and captures the following aromas and flavors:

•    Nose: roasted agave, green vegetal notes such as spicy jalapeño and subtle minerality. Hints of mint and white pepper.

•    Palate: Full-bodied and silky. Rich cooked agave leads, supported by earthy tones, olive brine, and fresh herbal complexity. Bright and structured, with the high ABV adding depth without heat.

•    Finish: Long, clean, and vibrant. Agave sweetness, peppery spice, and a touch of salinity linger.

Like all of LALO's expressions, the 2025 High Proof is crafted using three ingredients — fully mature agave, deep well water and Champagne yeast — and undergoes a traditional distillation method where the agave is cooked in brick steam ovens, fermented for three to four days and finished with just two distillation cycles to preserve the tequila’s complexity, the company says. Where the 2025 High Proof differs is its distilled-to-proof process, which skips dilution and goes straight from still to bottle, allowing bold vegetal flavors to shine through and highlighting the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and precision, it notes.

LALO’s 2025 High Proof is available now across 41 states in limited quantities for a suggested retail price of $74.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
