Marie Brizard Aperitivo

Marie Brizard debuted Marie Brizard Aperitivo in the United States, a citrus-forward aperitif designed to carry the spritz beyond summer and into every season, it says.
The launch of Aperitivo further expands the brand’s range of natural liqueur flavors with notes of orange juice and zest, layered with herbal complexity and a light, pleasant bitterness, the company says. Crafted from more than 30 botanicals, including wormwood, bay, basil, thyme and citrus, and complemented by cherry and apple distillates, Apertivo is both versatile and approachable, it adds.
Although spritz culture is often associated with warm weather, Marie Brizard Aperitivo shows the cocktail is equally enjoyed at home in cooler months, the company says. Its balance of bitter, sweet and citrus pairs beautifully with fall dinners, holiday gatherings and festive toasts, it notes. Whether poured over ice, mixed into a seasonal cocktail or combined with prosecco and sparkling water for a classic spritz, it’s a spirit that elevates moments all year long, it says.
“The spritz has become a symbol of celebration, and with Marie Brizard Aperitivo, we want to extend that celebration to every season,” said Jason Schladenhauffen, CEO of 375 Park Avenue Spirits, the brand’s U.S. importer and marketer, in a statement. “With its vibrant citrus notes, refined herbal finish, and accessible price point, it’s a refreshing alternative that shines just as brightly in fall and winter as it does in summer.”
With roots dating back to the court of King Louis XV, Maison Marie Brizard has shared the French art de vivre with the world since 1755, the company says. Founded in Bordeaux by Marie Brizard — the first French woman master liquorist — the house remains one of the oldest French companies still in operation, continuing a nearly three-century tradition of timeless heritage and modern flavor innovation, it adds.
Beginning this month, Marie Brizard Aperitivo will be available at retail stores nationally with a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a bottle.
