Indeed Brewing’s Apple Crisp Ale

Indeed Brewing Co. announced the release of Apple Crisp Ale, a one-of-its-kind hybrid of beer and cider.
Technically a beer, but crafted to blur the lines, Apple Crisp Ale starts with Pilsner and Munich malt combined with real apple juice, the company says. Critically, it’s then fermented with a specialized cider yeast, it notes.
“Apple Crisp Ale is a beer that tastes a lot like a cider. And it’s delicious,” said Ryan Bandy, chief business officer at Indeed Brewing, in a statement. “I think craft beer is coolest when it pushes the boundaries far enough that you find your way back to something that’s approachable and accessible, and that’s what we’ve done with Apple Crisp. The combination of tons of apple, cider yeast, and the process of making a lager made something we think is unique, special, and perfect for the next season.”
The 6.7% ABV Apple Crisp Ale is available at Indeed Brewing Co.’s Minneapolis or Milwaukee taprooms and at retailers across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
