Award-winning California producer Sonoma-Cutrer announced the arrival of Simply Cutrer, the brand’s first canned wine.

With Simply Cutrer, the brand is breaking preconceptions by offering wine lovers an elegant fine wine in the convenience of a can, it says.

“I’m excited for consumers to finally have a wine option like Simply Cutrer that combines the complex, high-quality wine that our fans have come to expect with the ease of a can that’s perfect for sharing,” said Chardonnay Winemaker Cara Morrison, in a statement. “Simply Cutrer was made with summer sipping in mind, and I hope that these cans help open the minds of consumers to just how versatile chardonnay wine can be for any situation, from picnics to beach days to backyard barbecues.”

Simply Cutrer features notes of citrus flavors like peach, nectarine and juicy melon, the company says. The Chardonnay fruit for this release was sourced from well-known regions of California, which allowed the winemakers to select grapes that hold true to the brand’s fruit-forward style, it notes.

Packaged in 250-ml cans, the 13.9% ABV Simply Cutrer retails for a suggested price of $19.99 for a four-pack. Simply Cutrer is available for purchase in select states including Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as online at the Sonoma-Cutrer website. Additional markets expected in 2023 include Arizona, California, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Rhode Island, Oregon, Utah and Washington, the company says.
