Sonoma-Cutrer, a brand of Brown-Forman Corp., announced the release of 2019 Grand Brut Rosé, part of its highly anticipated annual Winemaker’s Release. The Winemaker’s Release is a series of wines that showcase Sonoma-Cutrer’s commitment to artisan craftsmanship, it says.

This Grand Brut Rosé is a cuveé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit from two of the Russian River Valley winery’s most renowned vineyards, Owsley Estate and Vine Hill Ranch, the company notes. The release from Pinot Noir Winemaker Zidanelia Arcidiacono showcases the Sonoma-Cutrer’s mastery of both grape varieties while continuing a tradition of innovation and experimentation, it says.

The Grand Brut Rosé is light pink in color, with aromas of hibiscus flower, red-sour cherry and a touch of watermelon, which are complemented with fresh brioche bread and mandarin citrus notes, the company says. On the palate, the wine features notes of mandarin, kumquat, citrus fruit, a touch of wet stone minerality, and light cherry flavors that are balanced with Sonoma-Cutrer’s signature acidity, it adds.

The 12% ABV Winemaker’s Release 2019 Grand Brut Rosé is available to purchase for a suggested retail price of $54.99 a bottle, at select retail locations as well as online direct from the winery by visiting the company’s website.
