Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc. announced the expansion of its Road-Ready Body Program with Supreme for select Isuzu N-Series gasoline trucks. The program’s expansion is designed to help Isuzu dealers and customers have a wider selection of bodies from which to choose, the company says. The 12-foot Supreme Spartan Service body will be available for 109-inch-wheelbase NPR and NPR-HD models. The Isuzu NPR-HD boasts a 14,500-pound gross vehicle weight (GVW) and includes a 6.0-liter V-8 gas engine that produces 297 horsepower and 372 feet-pounds of torque. The truck body comes standard with eight compartments (four on each side) with adjustable shelving for more cargo-organizing versatility, stand-up height interior with a standard street-side pipe door, stainless-steel D-ring compartment handles for easier gripping with work gloves, and two interior LED dome lights. Other options include Plexiglass sliders for ease of access to interior horizontal compartments, with one row of E-track on each side of Plexiglass slider; curbside pipe door; a translucent roof and a Prime Design drop-down double ladder rack.
