Quaker City Mercantile, a brand of Diageo North America, launched Quaker City Shrubs, a new line of sparkling alcoholic beverages. The new beverages are made with apple cider vinegar and come in three flavors: Grapefruit, Blackberry and Apple. Available in 12-ounce cans, Quaker City Shrubs contain 3 grams of sugar and 90 calories per serving, the company says. The sparkling beverages feature a 4 percent alcohol-by-volume content and are available at select retailers such as Whole Foods, Wegman’s and Total Wine stores across the Philadelphia, Delaware and South New Jersey regions.
