As 2017 draws to a close, I, like many others, am taking time to reflect back on the highs and lows of the year. My daughter’s fall wedding was a time of great joy, while my husband’s surgery and subsequent recovery continues to be challenging.
So, when a “Consumers Lifestyles in 2017” report from Euromonitor International crossed my desk, I was intrigued. The market research firm’s Global Consumer Trends survey identified five megatrends: experiencing more, a middle class retreat, connected consumers, healthy living and premiumization.
