Companies release new identities, websites to better connect with customers

Roha Group, Mumbai, launched its global reorganization initiative by unveiling a new corporate identity and six division logos. The company’s food additives and ingredients divisions now include Idacol synthetic colors; Natracol colors from nature; and new Futurals colors from foodstuffs, extracts, flowers, herbs and algae. Roha also offers Essenzia feed additives, Simpsons industrial dyes and pigments, and Adora cosmetic colors.

Allen Flavors, Edison, N.J., promoted David Allen to director of building operations and Melanie Nissim to director of customer services.

New research published in the Journal of Dietary Supplements has found that Eagan, Minn.-based Biothera’s Wellmune WGP food and beverage supplement can be used to help athletes stay well after intense exercise. Researchers found that Wellmune made a statistically significant reduction in the incidence of post-competition upper respiratory tract infection symptom days and also boosted mucosal immunity.

Ganeden Biotech, Cleveland, debuted ganedenbc30.com, a new site that features educational, navigational and visual enhancements for a better user experience to help consumers understand probiotics and GanedenBC30, the company says. It also announced that GanedenBC30 supports digestive and immune health in healthy seniors, according to research by the University of Reading, West Berkshire, U.K. The results of the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled cross-over study showed that GanedenBC30 causes increased healthy bacteria in the gut and improves immune markers in healthy seniors, it says.

Zug, Switzerland-based Wild Flavors GmbH created the Wild Global Flavor Council to consolidate and leverage the knowledge and expertise of worldwide employees to allow for a deeper focus on flavors. Marie Wright, Wild’s chief global flavorist, will be responsible for leading the council. Through the Wild Global Flavor Council, Wild plans to capitalize on its global flavor expertise to support the flavor strategy for increased growth in sales across all product categories, the company says.

 West Caldwell, N.J.-based Novel Ingredient Services was selected by GC Rieber Oils, Kristiansund, Norway, as its exclusive distributor in the United States. GC Rieber Oils is a supplier of Norwegian fish oils that specializes in high-quality omega-3 concentrates in both triglyceride and ethyl ester forms that offer concentration levels ranging from 60 to 90 percent total omega-3s.
