The next phase of Mountain Dew and Lil Wayne’s DEWeezy campaign is in the hands of the fans. DEWeezy and its partner, Stoked, an action sports youth development agency, are calling on the imaginative minds of consumers to create a Mountain Dew TV spot featuring Lil Wayne. To inspire a sense of community among brand fans, the DEWeezy website allows fans to collaborate with each other to develop content and concepts for the commercial and later vote for — and even participate in — the winning commercial. Also, as part of the project, DEWeezy and Stoked have opened the DEWeezy Skate Park in New Orleans, giving the community a chance to “DEW you” and ride in the eco-friendly skate park, the duo said in a statement.
