To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Stone Ruination IPA, Stone Brewing Co. doubled the amount of hops to 5 pounds per barrel and increased the alcohol by volume to 10.8 percent for the anniversary edition, it says. The new brew has 110 international bitterness units. Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA launched in 22-ounce bottles and on draft in select markets yesterday. According to the company, the beer features tropical fruity hop flavors with a maltiness that balances out the hops. It finishes with a long, lingering, clean bitterness, the company adds.
