Narragansett Brewing Co. introduced Cream Ale, which is a new year-round offering selected by Narragansett beer fans. The ale is a throwback to pre-Prohibition cream ales, but with a slightly hoppier flavor, the company says. It’s brewed in small batches, contains 5 percent alcohol by volume and features a clean, crisp finish as a result of cold conditioning at 38 degrees Fahrenheit, it adds. Narragansett Cream Ale is available in 16-ounce cans and on draft at select bars and restaurants. Suggested retail price for a six-pack is between $8.49 and $8.99.
