Cargill, Minneapolis, was a co-sponsor of the 2005 Life Time Fitness Triathalon July 16. This is the fourth time the company has sponsored the event, which benefits The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. More than 2,500 athletes were expected to participate in the race.
Aloecorp, Lacey, Wash.,
has received organic certification status from BCS
Oko-Garantie GmbH for its aloe plantations and
processing facilities in Lyford, Texas, and Gonzalaz, Mexico. The company
also has received renewal of its kosher certification from Kosher Supervision of America.
The University of California, Davis has broken ground on the Robert Mondavi Wine and Food Institute,
which will house the UC Davis departments of Viticulture and Enology, and
Food Science and Technology. The institute was established in 2001 with a
grant from Robert Mondavi and funds from the Anheuser-Busch Foundation.
