Mike Kirby
has been named president and chief operating officer of Pinconning, Mich.-based Magline Inc. Kirby began his career at Magline in 1987, and before taking on this position served the company as managing director of Magline International LLC.
Multi-Tech Systems International (MTS) in Burlington, Ontario, has appointed Douglas Swallow as president and chief operating officer. Swallow comes to the company with 30 years manufacturing experience. MTS also appointed Fred McMahon as regional sales manager for the West Coast and Jack Harding regional sales manager of the East Coast.
John Telesz has joined Dosatron International in Clearwater, Fla., as Northeast regional sales manager.
Sokymat, Granges, Switzerland, appointed Thomas Hitzer to vice president of sales and marketing. He will be in charge of carrying out sales activities and marketing initiatives in all three major segments served by Sokymat: access and security, industrial automation and supply chain management, and animal identification.
Portola Packaging Inc., San Jose, Calif., named Brian Bauerbach president and chief executive officer. Bauerbach recently served as chief operating officer of Portola.
TNT Logistics North America, Jacksonville, Fla., selected Cecil C. (Skip) Hurst as manager of business development.
The Haskell Co., Jacksonville, Fla., promoted Dave Balz to senior vice president of Haskell’s educational facilities division; Mike Huskey to director of project development within the educational facilities division and public/private partnerships; Mike Lawrence to senior vice president of the commercial group; Jim O’Leary to senior vice president of the food and beverage division; and Alan Wilson to A/E group principal within the commercial group.
Robert Christopher (Chris) Steilberg was named vice president of talent to Miami-based Ryder System Inc.
Mirco Richardson has joined PakTech in Eugene, Ore., to sell its products in Europe. Richardson will travel throughout European countries introducing PakTech products and services to beverage experts.
Enviroline Group, Pompano Beach, Fla., promoted Teresa Valdes to the sales department as the company’s new territory manager for South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean. Enviroline also added Charyl Smith as customer service coordinator.
ASSA ABLOY Identification Technology Group, Granges, Switzerland, appointed Enrique Patrickson vice president of business development. Patrickson will be responsible for leading the ITG business development activity in new markets.
Bimal Kalvani joined Alcoa, Richmond, Va., as president of its Alcoa Flexible Packaging business. Kalvani comes to Alcoa with 20 years of experience working in the consumer and industrial packaging industries. He succeeds Elizabeth (Liz) Fessenden.
