Time is taken for granted in most industries. However, recognition must be given to the age-old cliché that time is money, and money can hardly be taken for granted, especially in beverage operations. From an operations viewpoint, time is inescapable and plays a prominent role in the beverage industry.

PMMI, Koelnmesse and IDFA join forces for new food and beverage processing event

Three trade show leaders joined forces to announce the launch of ProFood Tech, a new event that will focus on processing technologies serving the food and beverage industry. ProFood Tech will make its debut April 4-6, 2017, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The Closure and Container Manufacturers Association (CCMA), Barrington, Ill., will become part of the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), Dallas, effective April 1. A group will be formed with representatives from both organizations to facilitate the transition.
Flavorchem Corp. opened a new LEED-certified liquid production facility at its headquarters in Downers Grove, Ill. With the new 44,000-square-foot facility, Flavorchem’s facilities now total 215,000 square feet. In addition to its state-of-the-art production facility, Flavorchem now has a larger, more dedicated area for its quality control and regulatory departments as well as a better-equipped training facility for its employees, the company says.
