Budweiser Reserve Black Lager aged on six-year Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves

Budweiser, a brand of St. Louis-based Anheuser Busch, and Jim Beam Bourbon, a brand of Chicago-based Beam Suntory, unveiled Budweiser Reserve Black Lager, a limited-supply brew with an alcohol by volume of 7.1 percent. This specialty beer marks the second collaboration between Budweiser and Jim Beam, joining Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager, which is back by popular demand, the company says.

Ménage à Trois, a wine brand that is wholly owned and operated by Napa Valley, Calif.-based Trinchero Family Estates, announced the limited release of Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon.
Covington, Ky.-based Braxton Brewing Co. announced plans to expand its presence to Fort Mitchell, Ky., with the opening of a new barrel-aging brewery and taproom. Expected to open this fall, the Braxton Barrel House will offer a unique experience for patrons by giving them the opportunity to create custom private-barrel picks of the company’s barrel-aged brews, it says.
