Dogfish Heads commemorates Grateful Dead anniversary with special can

Dogfish Head is honoring the Grateful Dead’s 60th, and its own 30th anniversary with a special-edition release. The launch of the Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale 60th Anniversary Can, a 19.2-ounce collectible featuring the band’s official anniversary logo, has been paired with a robust line of co-branded merchandise.
Year-to-date, the partnership has driven $250,000 in merchandise sales, with 18,000-plus units sold across a wide range of SKUs. The collection spans LED signs, tin tackers, apparel, tote bags, glassware, hoodies, coasters, onesies and more. Dogfish Head also debuted a limited-edition T-shirt and can cooler, featuring the Dead’s 60th anniversary branding.
The limited edition Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale 60th anniversary can is available at the Dead & Company’s three-night run in Golden Gate Park this Aug. 1-3, as well as select San Francisco accounts during the concert weekend and the brewery’s Delaware locations.
