Sonoma-Cutrer, a brand of Brown-Forman Corp., announced two new vintages of its award-winning wines ― the 2020 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and 2019 Les Pierres Chardonnay. These new releases showcase the winery’s mastery of the Chardonnay grape, the company says. Led by Sonoma-Cutrer’s Chardonnay Winemaker Cara Morrison, these sustainable certified varietal wines speak to the winery’s approach of honoring Burgundian traditions while implementing California innovation to create standout bottles, it adds. The 2020 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is a classic, elegantly structured Chardonnay with stone fruit aromas mixed with vanilla-laced oak spice, toasted nuts, light caramel and underlying floral notes, it says. Meanwhile the 2019 Les Pierres Chardonnay exemplifies Sonoma-Cutrer’s Grand Cru approach to winemaking, the company notes. The Les Pierres Chardonnay features rich aromatic notes of lime zest, citrus blossom and bright lemon curd that showcases the wine’s oak integration and flavors of melon, lime, mineral, roasted nuts and spice, it adds. Packaged in 750-ml bottles, the 13.8% ABV Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is available to purchase for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $23, while the 14.2% ABV Les Pierres Chardonnay is available for an SRP of $46. The wines are available at retail locations, as well as online by visiting the Sonoma-Cutrer website.
