Deschutes Brewery launched a non-alcoholic version of its legacy porter, Black Butte. Black Butte Non-Alcoholic is a high-quality non-alcohol beer that rivals the experience of a full-strength craft beer, the company says. The non-alcohol beer utilizes the same specialty malts and hops as the 5.5% ABV version for a full-flavor experience with notes of rich chocolate, coffee and a roasted finish, it explains. Deschutes partners with Sustainable Beverage Technologies using its patented BrewVo technology that creates a real beer experience through a unique method that gently manages alcohol while maintaining flavor and aroma. Deschutes released its non-alcoholic Black Butte in six-packs of 12-ounce cans in its pubs and tasting room, throughout Oregon in independent accounts, and direct to consumers through its website. Black Butte Non-Alcoholic will be available across the United States to the brewery’s full distribution footprint this month.
