OnRobot Americas announced it has revamped its entire product portfolio, introducing a new robotic system that provides a single mechanical and electrical interface that makes any OnRobot product compatible with a full range of leading collaborative and light industrial robot brands. Manufacturers now have access to a single robotic system, a single platform for programming and training, and a single vendor relationship, which simplifies automation, provides unlimited possibilities for collaborative applications, speeds deployment and saves companies time and money, it says. One way to accomplish this is through the company’s Digital I/O Converter Kit, which allows OnRobot end-of-arm tools to work with recognized industrial robot brands including Universal Robots, KUKA, FANUC, Doosan, Techman, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and Nachi. An additional Dual Quick Changer incorporates the unified mechanical and communications interface and enables the use of two tools in one cycle, mixing and matching to suit application needs and maximizing robot utilization. A single cable provides a universal interface for tools and communications and there is no need to disconnect cables when changing tools, making the setup time on robots faster than ever, according to the company.
