Pfannenberg offers PATROL series sounders for gas leak detection
Sounders feature visual and auditory signaling at 350,000 feet
Pfannenberg offers its rugged PATROL Series Flashing Sounders for fixed gas detection alarming. The system combines visual and audible signaling to increase safety when there is a presence of hazardous gas. The signaling product detects ammonia, carbon dioxide, Freon, methane or chlorine gas, which could be present in energy generation, wastewater treatment, food and beverage manufacturing, refrigeration, gas production and other industrial applications, the company says. PATROL sounders offer 80 pre-programmed alarm tones with four stages for distinctive signaling of specific events. A single device in heavy-duty industry can cover more than 350,000 feet visually and more than 800,000 feet auditory with an effective viewing distance of nearly a quarter of a mile. Built to endure harsh environments and any climate, the PA 1 PATROL Series Sounder’s UV-resistant and flame-retardant polycarbonate/ABS impact-proof housing achieves an IK08 impact rating. The xenon strobe flash tube contains no filament to break and is resistant to shock and vibration, while the lens cover comes in a variety of colors.
