Bolthouse Farms announces spring beverage launches

New beverages boast organic, protein ingredients

Bolthouse 2016 innovations
March 8, 2016

In response to consumers' growing demand for more premium beverages with protein, various flavors and on-trend ingredients, Bolthouse Farms, a subsidiary of Camden, N.J.-based Campbell Soup Co., announced its new 2016 spring beverage innovations that will launch under the Bolthouse Farms and 1915 Bolthouse Farms brand names, the company says.

"Consumers' preference for convenient and delicious premium beverages continues to grow year after year," said Scott LaPorta, president of Bolthouse Farms, in a statement. "To provide consumers with better-for-you options that taste great and align with their dietary needs, we have created an assortment of innovative flavors using on-trend ingredients and alternative proteins that complement every lifestyle and occasion."

1915 Bolthouse Farms Organic Ultra-Premium Beverages
From dietary and environmental concerns to lifestyle choices, health-conscious consumers are reshaping the way Americans think of and consume protein, the company says. As a response, the 1915 Bolthouse Farms brand will debut three organic, alternative-protein beverages, which include almond milk, soy milk and pea protein in April, it adds.

Packaged in 12-ounce, BPA-free bottles, the 1915 Protein beverages have 12 grams of protein and are made with dairy-free ingredients with no artificial sweeteners, the company says. The new protein flavors are 1915 Organic Protein Vanilla, 1915 Organic Protein Chocolate and 1915 Organic Protein Coffee.

Additionally, the company unveiled new 1915 Organic Ultra-Premium Cold-Pressed fruit and vegetable blends. With no more than six ingredients in each bottle, the juices contain a balance of colorful, nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. Available on-shelf in late-March, the fruit and vegetable juices contain no added sugar, the company says. The new flavors are 1915 Strawberry with coconut water, pear, apple and lemon; 1915 Orange with carrot, pineapple and lime; and 1915 Grapefruit with apple peach and raspberry.

The entire 1915 ultra-premium beverage portfolio is organic, non-GMO, vegan- and gluten-free, and will be available for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

Bolthouse Farms Super Premium Beverages
Bolthouse Farms’ super premium beverages will add six new products in late March, which will have a suggested retail price starting at $2.99 for a 15.2-ounce bottle and $4.49 for a 32-ounce bottle, the company says.

The new Protein PLUS shakes boast more than 30 grams of protein in each 15.2-ounce bottle and includes 21 vitamins and minerals with no added preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. The proprietary blend uses two different types of protein — whey and soy — to satisfy and sustain nutritional needs, the company says. New flavors are Protein PLUS Banana Honey Almond Butter, Protein PLUS Coconut and Protein PLUS Strawberry.

Additionally, Bolthouse Farms will offer a new selection of flavor-forward fruit and vegetable juices that include nutrient-rich ingredients. The new flavors areMango Pineapple Colada, Berries and Green Veggies, and Raspberry Blood Orange.
