AIDP Inc. is entering the digestive health market with its new prebiotic ingredient, PreticX. The generally recognized as safe certified and Non-GMO Verified prebiotic is a result of the company’s partnership with Life Bridge International, an international company specializing in diabetic-friendly and low-calorie sweeteners, and is manufactured by Shandong Longlive Bio-technology Co. Ltd., QingDao, China. PreticX has been shown in clinical studies to significantly increase the proliferation of bifidobacterium in both low and high doses. The xylooligosaccharide ingredient is highly stable, does not require refrigeration, and can be used in foods and beverages, the company says. Compared with other prebiotics, it can be used in small doses, thereby reducing the chance of bloating, it adds.
