Statesville, N.C.-based Bebida Beverage Co., also known as BeBevCo, released a new Cheech and Chong Chillaxation drink together with its partially owned subsidiary, Relaxation Solutions Inc. This decision was prompted by Relaxation Solutions Inc.’s recent announcement of the first mass-produced Cheech and Chong Nice Dreams Relaxation Ice Cream as well as BeBevCo’s success with its Koma Unwind relaxation brand, the company says.

"We are so excited to bring the Cheech and Chong brand to a Chillaxation drink," said BeBevCo Chief Executive Officer Brian Weber in a statement. "The drink will use natural supplements, natural flavors and sweeteners as well as a dose of hemp.

“We feel, as a company, we are now rounded off in our products,” he continued. “Cheech and Chong Chillaxation drink will be more of a head-to-head competitor to the popular Marley's Mellow Mood demographic, whereas the demographic of our premium Koma Unwind product is more mainstream of those looking to relax, reduce stress or sleep better.”

Daisy Ramirez, BeBevCo chief operating officer, added: "My first thought was, 'How much more can we take on?' However, after looking at the market trends, the power of the Cheech and Chong brand, and realizing that we will have two of the biggest names in liquid relaxation drinks, the decision was easy.

"Of course, having a complete infrastructure doesn't hurt,” she continued. ”The shareholders we have that understand the mission and know our team have been amazingly supportive. They are as confident as we are that Bebida Beverage Co. can have global sales in the hundreds of millions in the not too distant future.”
