Mickey Truck Bodies
, High Point, N.C., has partnered with Rush Enterprises as its authorized reconditioning and service center partner for customers in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Mickey customers will be serviced from Rush Enterprises’ service and reconditioning centers located at its Rush Truck Centers in Fontana, Calif., and Phoenix, Ariz. The two Rush Truck centers will stock a complete line of Mickey parts as well as parts for other major makes and models of bodies and trailers.
DAK Americas LLC, Charlotte, N.C., plans to expand its Cape Fear manufacturing site near Wilmington, N.C., with the construction of a Polyethylene Terephthalte (PET) resin unit. This expansion will add a capacity of 450 million pounds, bringing DAK’s total PET resin production capacity to more than 1.1 billion pounds annually.  
Arrowhead Systems Inc., the parent company of Arrowhead Conveyor Corp. and Busse/SJI Corp., is consolidating its air conveyor product line, engineering and manufacturing into its Oshkosh, Wis.- plant. The St. Neots, England, facility will be closed and all engineering will be transferred to the Oshkosh facility.  
GE Infrastructure, Water and Process Technologies, a unit of General Electric Co., joined the Algerian Government, the Overseas Private Investment Corp. and the Algerian Energy Co. (AEC) in plans to build Hamma Water Desalination SpA, Africa’s largest seawater desalination plant. Formed and funded by GE and AEC, the Hamma project is part of GE’s “ecomagination effort,” which is aimed at building innovative solutions to global problems, like water scarcity. The Hamma project will supply 25 percent of Algeria’s capital city’s population with drinking water.
Nissan Diesel America Inc., Irving, Texas, announced upgrades to the standard warranty coverage on its 2006 Year UD Trucks product line. For the 2006 Model Year vehicles, the warranty coverage has been increased to provide longer protection periods for the base vehicle and selected chassis and powertrain components. These changes represent a 33 percent increase in warranty protection over the previous warranty coverage of two years.
Cat Lift Trucks, Houston, awarded the Houston Food Bank with a 5,000-pound capacity hand pallet truck for its outstanding community service to the Greater Houston area and surrounding counties, and also delivered a substantial food donation to kick off the Houston Food Banks’ Spirit of Texas Food Drive.

Crown Bevcan Europe & Middle East, an affiliate of Crown Holdings Inc., Philadelphia,  completed construction of its new 15,000-square-meter beverage can facility in North Africa. Located in the Tunisian capital of Tunis, the plant has an initial annual production capacity of 635 million beverage cans.
