Glendale, Calif.-based IHOP announced the release of IHOPS Pumpkin Pancake Stout, a limited-edition, fall-inspired craft beer brewed by Kingston, N.Y.-based Keegan Ales. The ale pairs the flavor of pumpkin and seasonal spices with IHOP’s buttermilk pancakes, for a smooth, rich stout, the company says.
After the successful launch of its Screamin’ Pumpkin Ale on tap last year, Griffin Claw Brewing Co. decided to help the craft beer reach more consumers by launching it in 16-ounce cans this year.
According to New York-based Nielsen, pumpkin-flavored seasonal foods and beverages are appearing on store shelves and menus earlier this fall than in previous years. This early arrival might set the seasonal flavor up for another successful season, it suggests.
