There are few plays in basketball more exciting than the three-point shot. Taking inspiration from the game, Portland, Ore.-based Pyramid Breweries recently teamed up with the Portland Trail Blazers to create its newest, limited-edition beer – Reigning 3s. This unfiltered White Pale Ale is the company’s take on its own 3-pointer, using a combination of Cascade, Apollo and Lemon Drop hops. With 5.5 percent alcohol by volume, this beer rates 30 on the international bitter unit (IBU) scale. Due to limited availability fans will have to travel to "Rip City" to get a shot of this brew, the company says.

Samuel Adams, a brand of Boston-based The Boston Beer Co., released Time Hop Porter, a limited-edition hopped porter brewed with San Diego-based ChuckAlek Independent Brewers. The collaboration beer is the culmination of a year-long program, Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Brewing and Business Experienceship, which annually provides one craft brewer with hands-on brewing and business coaching, the company says. Sam Adams established the program to help small-craft breweries get a leg-up in the industry, it adds.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. debuted two year-round beers in early 2015,  Hop Hunter IPA and Nooner Pilsner, and unveiled its newest spring seasonal selection: Beer Camp Hoppy Lager.

Stone Brewing Co. collaborated with Guam’s Ishii Brewing Co. and Japan-based Baird Brewing Co. to create Baird / Ishii / Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA. 

The James E. Pepper whiskey brand of the Georgetown Trading Co. has partnered with a craft brewery to create an American brown ale aged in previously used James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Rye Whiskey. 

Newcastle Brown Ale, a brand of Heineken USA, is kicking off a new series of collaboration-edition beers made in partnership with some of the finest and oldest breweries in Europe.
