Kōloa Rum Co. announced the launch of a highly anticipated new addition to their portfolio: Kōloa Kaua‘i Cane Fire Cinnamon Flavored Hawaiian Rum.
This island-crafted spirit celebrates Hawai‘i’s rich agricultural roots and Kōloa Rum’s commitment to local sourcing and premium craftsmanship, it says.
The Cane Fire expression is distilled, blended, and bottled in Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, using cane sugar and cut with filtered rainwater from Mount Waiʻaleʻale, the company notes. What makes this release truly special is the use of Hawaiian-grown cinnamon from O.K. Farms, located near the Wailuku River on the Big Island, it says. The rum is twice-distilled in a vintage 1,210-gallon steam-powered copper pot still, then macerated with natural cinnamon for a bold, layered flavor, it adds.
On the nose, it opens with aromatic notes of cinnamon, vanilla and citrus. The palate is smooth yet fiery, with a hot cinnamon kick balanced by subtle sweetness and depth, the company says. Its rich amber color reflects the warmth and spice within, while the finish is long, warming, and slightly peppery, offering a zesty close that lingers beautifully, it adds.
The 40% ABV Kōloa Kauaʻi Cane Fire Rum can be purchased by visiting the company’s website.
