Newly combined technology providers, Encompass Technologies + Orchestra Software announced that they have acquired Denver-based alcohol delivery startup Handoff. This acquisition furthers the company’s mission to digitally connect all tiers of the beverage industry, from first ingredients to last sip.
On Oct. 16, Encompass and Orchestra announced their merger, making this announcement their second big report in the past month. Orchestra’s robust ERP system empowers suppliers while seamlessly connecting to Encompass’ route accounting offering for distributors. Further connecting the industry is DSDLink, the Encompass-based online ordering app for retailers. The acquisition of Handoff completes the supplier-to-consumer solution suite with its direct-to-consumer alcohol delivery platform. As all of these pieces connect, data will move freely throughout the tiers, giving the industry the ability to get products to consumers with never-before-seen ease and efficiency.
