Abita Brewing launched Spring Loaded, a brew made with water straight from the Southern Hills Aquifer. Spring Loaded is crafted with all-natural ingredients and artesian spring water, with the base beer brewed with Louisiana sugar that ferments into alcohol, leaving only 2 grams of sugar, the company says. Abita’s two initial flavor releases are Splash Berry and Watermelon, each containing 100 calories, 2 grams of carbohydrates and 5 percent alcohol by volume. It is available in four-packs of 12-ounce cans.
