Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo’s Pepsi brand is calling on its fans to “Dance for a Chance” to win exclusive prizes and opportunities as part of the brand’s Iconic Summer promotion. Starting July 4, fans who submit a 10-second dance video clip themed after Pepsi's latest TV commercial, “Mirrors,” featuring R&B artist Beyoncé, may be eligible to win the chance to appear in a unique "super fan" music video choreographed by Beyoncé's choreographer, Chris Grant. In addition, eight grand-prize winners will be flown to New York to meet Beyoncé during "The Mrs. Carter World Tour" stop at the Barclays Center on Aug. 4.
Consumers who visit pepsi.com/danceforachance will be prompted through a few steps to film and submit their video directly to Pepsi's page. Pepsi also has optimized this site for mobile users so they, too, can easily shoot and upload their video clips, the company says. In addition, fans can find the newly created Pepsi Music Bus at select "The Mrs. Carter World Tour" stop locations and use special Pepsi stages at the bus to shoot and submit videos, it says.
"Pepsi is delivering on its promise to give consumers a chance to truly make this summer iconic," said Rishi Daing, senior director of marketing for Pepsi, in a statement. "Not only are we giving fans the opportunity to work with Beyoncé's head choreographer to make a unique dance video, but we are going to treat those fans as our guests and introduce them to Beyoncé at her New York tour stop. We are bringing iconic opportunities for our consumers to capture the excitement of now."
In addition to the grand prize elements, Pepsi also is offering supporting prizes, merchandise and Beyoncé concert tickets as giveaways through various social media channels and pepsi.com.
The video submission portion of the campaign will run through Aug. 8, and the grand prize window for submission ends July 20. For a complete listing of rules and for more information, visit pepsi.com.
