Fogg Co.
, Holland, Mich., is celebrating 50 years in the filling industry. Founded by Clyde Fogg in 1956, the family-owned company has many patents on innovative filling valves, technology and systems.
Markem Corp., Keene, N.H., has incorporated a Continuous Improvement Program using Lean principles in all levels of this product identification and traceability solution company. The Lean principles, developed by Toyota Production System, help to gain a better understanding of customers, eliminate waste and create a company-wide environment for change.  
Curtis Packaging Corp., Sandy Hook, Conn., announced its agreement with Community Energy to purchase clean, pollution-free, renewable energy.
Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, Brentwood, Tenn., announces the expansion of its services following the recent purchase of Barthco International, Freightek and Turbo Logistics. The company now offers a broader range of supply chain management solutions that include customs brokerage, freight forwarding, import and export services as well as expanded transportation services. They also recently added a 500,000-square-foot facility in Winchester, Va.
Ryder System Inc., Miami, introduces the “Road Ready Plus” extended warranty for pre-owned Ryder Road Ready vehicles. In addition, the world’s first RFID-tagged all-plastic pallet pool from Intelligent Global Pooling Systems has chosen Ryder System Inc. as its supply chain logistics partner.
Speedmark Information Services, The Woodlands, Texas, celebrates 15 years in the data processing and software industry. Speedmark’s branded products include Pricemark, OverView, FrontWindow, ObServe and BarLight software programs.
Sidel Group, Le Havre Cedex, France, announces a new branding strategy for fillers. Beverage fillers will be under the Simonazzi brand, while fillers for sensitive liquids and foods will be under the Sidel brand.
Trimble, Sunnydale, Calif., has announced it has aquired MobileTech Solutions Inc., Dallas, which provides field workforce automation solutions and is a leader in the DSD segment, as well as Eleven Technology Inc., Cambridge, Mass., which is a mobile application software company.
Cold Jet LLC, Cincinnati, has opened a multi-faceted facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The Canadian operation will provide sales, service, parts and rentals of Cold Jet’s dry ice blasting and production equipment.
Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. Inc., Irvine, Calif., is now an associate sponsor of the number 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra. For the remainder of the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the truck will display the company’s Web site on its side panels and will be painted Toyota lift truck orange for the race in Nashville, Tenn.
MicroMatic USA Inc., Northridge, Calif., has acquired the draft beer dispensing division of Grupo Cerbev S.A. de C.V., Monterrey, Mexico, a leading distribution firm in Mexico and Central America.
Flowserve Corp., Dallas, has opened a new Quick Response Center (QRC) in Orland, Calif. The QRC is a fully equipped sales and service center that provides superior, localized customer service, maintenance and repair in addition to spare parts inventory.
Rexam, London, has formed a joint venture with Hindustan Tin Works to start a beverage can plant near Mumbai, India. The facility will be the first of its kind in the area and will focus primarily on the beer market.
Saf-T-Gard International Inc., Northbrook, Ill., launched Saf-T-Gard Online, its Web site for browsing and ordering items.
Graham Packaging Co., York, Pa., was named Supplier of the Year by Miller Brewing Co. The award is given annually for high product quality and service, excellence in customer service and a partnership to the business relationship.
Crown Holdings Inc., Philadelphia, subsidiary, Crown Bevcan Europe & Middle East, celebrated the opening of its new Crown Maghreb Can facility in Tunis, Tunisia.
Lanxess Corp., Pittsburgh, announces Symrise Inc. will act as sales agent for the company’s Velcorin, a microbial control agent for non-alcoholic beverages and wine, products in the eastern United States.
