Taster’s Voice

Taster’s Voice

To test the convenience and taste of Lipton Iced Tea To Go Sticks, we had three co-workers try the three varieties: Iced Tea with Lemon, Green Tea with Honey and Lemon, and Green Tea with Mandarin and Mango. While all found the packets convenient to carry and use, the office-mates said they would still prefer the flavor of bottled or fresh brewed-teas to the powdered To Go Sticks.
Tea to travel
Lipton Iced Tea To Go Sticks allow on-the-go consumers to add powdered tea to water – particularly bottled water. Each box, which retails for around $2.99, contains 10 stick packs. The packets are added to a 16.9 to 20-ounce bottle of water and shaken to create iced tea. Each 8-ounce serving contains 80 mg. of flavonoid antioxidants, which help product the body against free radicals, prompting Lipton to place its new AOX seal on the product to indicate a significant level of flavonoid antioxidants. The three flavors are sweetened with Splenda and have no artificial flavors, sugar or calories.

This month’s contenders:
Amber, 23, physicist
Evelyn, 30+, engineer
Shawn, 29, engineer
Here’s the skinny…
Package
“Its small size is convenient to take in a purse or to have in a desk drawer at work.” — Amber
“The product was small, narrow and easy to carry. I found it easy to open, and it was clearly labeled and not too cluttered.” — Evelyn
Taste
“The lemon really tasted like lemon, but it tasted a little powdery and was way too sweet.” — Amber
“It was really sweet with a little too much of an artificial sweetener taste. It didn’t dissolve fully in the water either.” — Shawn
“The Green Tea with Honey and Lemon was a bit too sweet and the Iced Tea with Lemon was just too sweet. Both dissolved quickly though, and were easy to mix.” — Evelyn
Last call
“I think it’s just as easy to buy an already mixed drink … but I think a box of Green Tea to Go would be nice to have at work.” — Shawn
“It’s too sweet and artificial. It’s just as easy to keep a box of tea bags at my desk.” — Amber
“For active people, it’s easier to carry these small packets instead of several bottles.” — Evelyn
