Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), Houston, manufactures, markets and distributes a complete line of forklifts through Cat Lift Trucks, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks and Jungheinrich brand names. In 2010, MCFA and Jungheinrich entered an agreement in which MCFA is the distributor of Jungheinrich-branded warehouse products in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

For beverage applications, the Jungheinrich North American product lineup includes Class 2 reach trucks and its ETV 110 series, with a 48-volt power system for travel and lift and lower functions. An optional cold storage cabin is available on ETV 2 and 3 series trucks to improve labor productivity in cold storage applications by allowing operators to spend more time in the freezer, the company says. It also features good capacity retention for warehouses looking to stack pallets at higher levels, it says.

The Jungheinrich lineup also offers Class 3 pallet trucks and tow tractors. The EJE 120 series is an AC powered walkie truck that is available with three battery compartments with a short battery compartment option that offers short head length to allow it to maneuver easily within a trailer, the company says. A welded fork design also is featured to promote high durability for demanding applications, it says. The EJE 120 is maneuverable due to compact chassis design and can be maneuvered in the upright position by pressing the crawl-speed button. Its capacity is 4,500 pounds.

Also a Class 3, the ECR 327 series is an alternative for high-throughput single and multiple pallet trailer loading. The walkies’ 24-volt, three-phase AC technology is used for high performance and reliability, the company says. The controller features SpeedControl, a real-time, drive-speed monitoring system. The controller also features roll-back protection on ramps to provide more control for the operator, it says. Its capacity is between 6,000 and 8,000 pounds.

MCFA also offers numerous Cat lift trucks for warehouse solutions, including its E5000-6500 electric counterbalanced series. These lift trucks are electric and use cushion tires and are used with multiple pallet handling attachments. The narrow 3,000 to 3,500 pound chassis is ideal for handling 36-inch beverage pallets in tight spaces, the company says.

Also among its Cat product line is the 2ET4000, an electric counterbalanced lift truck with three-wheel pneumatic tires. It is maneuverable when operating in close quarters, MCFA says. It can be used in loading and unloading trailers and short shuttle operations. The 2ET4000 also features a chassis design with a high level of protection in wet and corrosive applications. In addition, the lift truck has cabin alternatives and cold storage packages for operation in coolers and freezers, it says.BI
