Conveying solutions

Intralox, a manufacturer of modular plastic conveyor belting, will present its newest conveying solutions for the beverage industry at drinktec 2009. The Activated Roller Belt (ARB) solutions enable improvements through automation with a technology platform, the company says. By applying the ARB technology to the switch application, it can handle a wide range of packaging types. In addition, Intralox offers a package for the pasteurizer application: a chemical-resistant belt that features Enduralox polypropylene material that slows changes caused by chemical processes in pasteurizers. Three machines into one

Sipa Plastic Packaging Systems will present Sincro-Tribloc, a system that incorporates production, labeling and filling/capping of PET containers. The Sincro-Tribloc system combines three machines into one and works well if only a small area is available for installation, the company says. The system is made of electronically synchronized blocks, which allows the system to be controlled with one operator. The technology used on Sincro-Tribloc includes: Sipa’s rotary blowmolding machine SFR EVO, a Roll-Adhesleeve labeler that works without hot-melt glue, and an isobaric volumetric filler. The company will produce Superleggera, an industrial bottle weighing 9.9 grams, at drinktec 2009. The label is pre-glued during the printing process and the bottle is 100 percent recyclable. - Sipa Plastic Packaging Systems, Via Caduti del Lavoro, 3 31029 Vittorio Veneto, Italy; 390438.911511; sipa.it; drinktec Hall A5, Booth 303.
